Game Preview: Nuggets at Timberwolves
Denver wraps up tough road trip in Minnesota
Both physically and mentally, it’s been a tough road trip for the Denver Nuggets.
They will try to end it on a positive note heading into the All-Star break.
The Nuggets conclude their four-game trip Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Denver has won both meetings this season, including a 117-110 victory at Target Center on Nov. 27.
Both teams are dealing with injuries to key players. Nuggets leading scorer Ty Lawson remains out after suffering a fractured rib during the second game of the road trip, while the Timberwolves are without starting center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and shooting guard Kevin Martin (thumb).
Minnesota, though, still has All-Star forward Kevin Love, who is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 25 points and 10 rebounds per game.
After playing Minnesota, the Nuggets will have four days off before returning to practice following the All-Star break.
